I don’t know if there were any revisions though. Lets go to Quake 2 now: Sure Savage was a good gfx chipset when it came out. I have uploaded my collection of drivers for Savage and put a link in the first post of this thread. And finally Quake 3 Arena: There was also supposed to be a Plus that would clock at MHz. Savage is not only buggy and unsupported but hideously slow.

I played around with UT99 again today because I wanted to check if detail textures were enabled. At first we see that Savage 4 is faster at default speeds in comparison to default Savage The thing does not change when the cards are overclocked.

Savage runs at default clocks: I have made a comparison. Results 1 to 15 of If it’s still running below inno3dd, it could be driver related, yes.
Also, Inno3D I believe was the only other manufacturer that made a Savage card. This time Samvage is the winner in every case One can see that even when Savage 4 is overclocked it is still slower than Savage on default speeds.
Has anyone used one of their Chrome cards? I didn’t look at my card. Even UT99 under MeTal still has some noticeable rendering errors.
I have uploaded my collection of drivers for Savage and put a link in the first post of this thread. The test was done in 16 bit mode. Savage is a touchy, buggy chip so AGP 4x may be disabled by the driver I don’t know if there were any revisions though.

We can see that Savage is faster in 3D Mark 99 and at default speeds. There is no material that is knowingly illegal here.

Here things are not so simple. S3 and their shoddy drivers that never cease to disappoint.
I enabled AGP 4X in the bios. Which should be capped then? Sure Savage was a good gfx chipset when it came out. It can run Quake based games OK too though. It’s about 2 years old now I remember Savage 4 having one of the first ring buffer based hardware triangle engines, back when Rage6c and MGA-G were still popular.
